Meet Your Committee

It’s always hard joining new clubs and meeting new people and so to make things a bit easier for people we wanted to help out by telling you a bit about us, your ringcraft committee. Please see below therefore for a short Bio on each of your ringcraft committee members.

Debbie & John Willett – Ringcraft Committee Chairman (JW) & Show Secretary (DW)

Kennel Name: Debeaux

A lifetime involved with dogs! Had our Affix Granted 1994 Started breeding WHWT winning CC’s , we then had Norwich Terriers, making up Champions, UK Top Dog and Multiple European Champions.

We then started with Shih Tzu where again and we have had the UK Top Dog and made up UK Champions as well as European/Multi European Champions with dogs of our breeding in many parts of the World.

We now have Australian Shepherds as well which have been a steep learning curve! Have had a Grooming Business and served on Dog Clubs for over 20 years, in many roles.

Deborah Wilcock – Ringcraft Secretary

I am new to dog showing since 2017 after having adopted a Scottish Terrier from Israel, having only had pet Scotties before!

It has been a steep learning curve and a rocky road at times having been caught in snow in Birmingham, Ronnie landing in a pond the night before Crufts and a zip breaking on a skirt before entering the ring, but…Showing is great fun and creates a special bond with your dog.

Kennel Name: Sharphouse

I am trained in agriculture and bought up my 4 children on a smallholding with a menagerie of animals. I have had dogs all my life, with experience of Bull Terriers, Jack Russell’s and Spaniels. Then 15 years ago I had my first GSD and never looked back.

I breed occasionally to keep a pup to continue my bloodline and have been a kc assured breeder for over 5 years. I am relatively new to showing but have been to Crufts twice with one of my girls (placing 2nd in her class there!) and have qualified again for this year.
